Welcome to to the Molile Learning Exploration System
The English website is currently under development
Here we provide you
with our Mobile Learning Exploration System (Moles
on PC and Mini Moles on mobile phones) for educators, students, and learners of all ages (starting at about eight years).
With our web based Web Moles applications, you research and create content for Multimedia Interactive Assignments (MIA) on the browser of your computer without installing any software. These MIA contain all needed instructional, explanatory information, and knowledge questions for your school outing, field trip or pervasive game. It is possible to use photo, audio material, sketches (and GPS coordinates on maps if you use Web Moles and Web Mini Moles - this will be avaiable soon) and text in your MIA.
Our Mini Moles application allows you to transfer each MIA onto
various mobile devices (e.g., mobile phones, smart phones, PDAs, sub notebooks, etc). During
your outing, you answer cooperatively questions, record your observations and findings
in your mobile device (Web Mini Moles). You can use other digital media (e.g., data measurement
sensors, digital photo camera, stand alone GPS) as well.
Or you use with Web Mini Moles your GPS in your mobile phone, if your mobile phone has this capacity.
All gathered information and created media is transferred back into Moles at the end of the trip (if you use Web Moles and Web Mini Moles). The completed MIA are exported as HTML files (from Web Moles) for further reflection, discussion, and presentation in the classroom or on the Internet.
Moles and Mini Moles is a mobile learning exploration system that serves
in bridging the gap between inside and outside classroom learning experiences.
You can use these applications for hypothesizing, transferring, and MIA
lessons learned in the classroom into you physical environment.
On the Moles homepage you get access to the web-based applications or can download Mini Moles Lite from Web Moles Lite to mobile phones without connectivity to the web. Moreover tutorials are available to learn more about Moles.
